My first Ali Hazelwood story, and I absolutely loved it. Her sense of humor is right up my alley, and I laughed out loud so many times.

The plot theme around a video game based on a book series was a first for me and a genius idea I might add. It's clashing the past and future all in one, and that kinda ties in with Viola's bumpy connection with Jesse Andrews, too.

From the beginning tensions between the two and being forced to work together during a retreat up in the snowy mountains (an adorable setting I must say 🏔), it's a humorous and semi-pineful adventure for these two characters battling between feelings of lost love and miscommunication.

All in all, a cute novella, and I would recommend listening to it for sure! The narrator did a remarkable job portraying Viola's personality, and I really felt like I was there with them during the entire story.

It's a perfect book to read for the Fall season. We get to meet two past lovers - both witches I might add - and as soon as their second chance romance begins, the tension is buzzing. And there's an abundance of funny and quirky moments between Vivi and Rhys. They made me hold a smile throughout the whole book.

And with all the curse calamities around every corner, cursed wind-up toys, talking cats, and library ghosts are surely to bring some excitement to the table.

One thing I loved the most about this book was the scenery and details Sterling put into the town of Graves Glen. An adorable and rustic small town that screams Halloween with its cobblestone paths.

There's a plentiful amount of genius naming within this book, such as unique store names. I love the quirky cleverness behind them.

If you are on the hunt for a sweet HEA and an easy-to-read book that gives you one last scare before the end, read The Ex Hex.

It's a witchy heartwarming read you won't regret, and don't forget, 'Never mix vodka with witchcraft.

I'm super late to posting this and don't know how it happened, but I'm posting it anyway. The month technically isn't over yet, so I say I'm in the clear.

Fall is finally here and I'm so ready. Once the temp drops a little more, it's gonna be perfect.

Anywho, back to books, I finished 'The Ex Hex.' I'll post a review on that one soon. (Spoiler: it's a swoony one).

Currently reading 'Butcher & Blackbird,.' IN LOVE - is all I can say right now. That book has me by the literal throat, and I'm only on chapter 3 💀✨️

Personally, I'm a little too much drama for my taste, BUT I will say they had me guessing till the very end on who actually was the killer. And that's saying something right there!

Imagine being stuck on a yaht and you can't trust anyone because one of them is the killer!?

Also, the story between ex best friends Naya and Yana, was a joy to see blossom back into a friendship that just needed a little rekindling (and blood!) to get started again.

What was lost was found again 🫶🏻👭

I recommend to anyone looking for a fast-paced murder mystery with a splash of YA drama.

This was definitely one of my favorite reads of the year.

I'm certainly behind in the 'Kate Burkholder Series' (found out there's 10+ more books), but that's fine by me. Reading this as a standalone was a perfect introduction to Linda Castillos' work, I think lol.

Traveling between the Amish and English, there is a fun variety of folks to meet, each with their own tie into the story.

Linda painted a lovely scenery, and I felt like I was really there right next to Kate. I swear at times my heart had stopped just like hers!

Anywho who loves a good murder mystery, add a splash of Amish in there, and you've got one fantastic read to dive into.

This book is a beautiful mixture of magic, love, blood, banter, tons of unique creatures, and a huge world to explore.

While reading, you can see just how far Sarah goes to write every detail needed to literally put you into a fantasy world you won't wanna leave. From meeting fun creatures, watching blood baths, dangerous scenarios around any corner, and magic that revolves around the main elements. And too much more to list.

There are plenty of plot twists and O-M-G moments that will have you swooning and maybe even have you a little angry (cause some people really just need to drop down their walls.) ✨️

Really loved how everything tied together in the end, but ALSO leaves you dangling off the edge just enough so you can hold on for a year till the next book in the series releases.
